Welcome to...
Alyssa D. Strayhorn, Director.

In the fall of 1968, the dream and the determined efforts of a nucleus of concerned citizens materialized when the NBADCC was finally openend as a facility for pre-school children. The need for such a facility in East Raleigh had long been recognized. We now serve toddlers and pre-schoolers.
A building, formerly St. Monica School and owned by the Catholic Diocese, was donated to be used for the day care center. A group of citizens was organized immediately to become a Board of Directors and to begin soliciting money from the community for the operation of the center.
With a building, a director $5,000.00 donation from Christ Episcopal Church, the NBADCC opened its doors in November of 1968. Its purpose then as now continues to be the provision of quality care and enriching experiences for toddlers and pre-school children.
The center is now a licensed and certified 3 star rated child care facility providing care for 81 children from ages 2-4 years.
