To Alfred Ward (Al)

The mystery of life,
the splendor of nature,
the majesty of a thunderstorm
a captivating sunset, I'll tell you...

All these and many more things
are part of my Lord's creation.

And then come human beings
such truly unique creatures,
they come in different shapes and colors
they can be creative and yet so destructive
they can be both loving and hateful.

Well, in life we come accross
a large number of different persons:
some share their wisdom with us,
some guide us and protect us,
some lend us a listening ear,
some cheer us up and entertain us,
some cry and laugh with us
and share our most intimate thoughts,
some come to kill time with,
but you Al, my dearest friend
have come to my life to do it all.
