Shipping Rates, Delivery & Returns
We ship to New Zealand Nationwide. Your order is important to us, which is why we want to make sure that your products arrive on time and in excellent condition.
How much is Shipping?
Babies Nz offer free shipping* on all orders over $200.00NZD throughout New Zealand. Orders under $200.00NZD will incur a Courier fee throughout New Zealand. Please note furniture, beds and mattresses can only be freighted within New Zealand and are excluded from our free shipping offer.
Our selected courier providers for deliveries within New Zealand are Aramex Couriers & PBT Freight. Please note we do not ship to PO Box addresses. The courier service we select is dependent on the size of parcels we are sending.
Delivery Options
We offer a great FREE DELIVERY service to almost all parts of New Zealand on all orders over $200.
Orders will normally be delivered via a courier company and are made between 7am and 6pm, Monday to Friday. We are happy to deliver to work addresses excluding PO Box numbers.

*Occupational Health and Safety legislation restricts the maximum weight of an individual item of freight to 25kg. (However, heavier items may be carried where there is assistance to load and unload the item. Individual items in excess of 40kg cannot be carried.)
Shipping to Rural Areas
Please note: all rural freight delivery addresses will attract a Rural Delivery surcharge.
Our freight estimates on our website are to the registered freight company depot address, closest to the customers delivery address and to most metropolitan addresses. For rural area address, freight companies reserve the right to charge a surcharge where they deem necessary. In the case, if the original shipping fee charged is not sufficient to cover the Rural Delivery Surcharge to deliver to customer’s provided address, your order will be delivered to the nearest freight company depot address. From that point, it’s the customer’s responsibility to arrange delivery at your cost. When your order is ready for collection depot staff will give you a call to let you know.
If you are not able to collect it from the depot and require a door-to-door service, our staff member will contact you by email to let you know the extra fee for the Rural Surcharge needed to for the freight company to deliver the package in your provided address.
Rural Deliveries
With access to New Zealand Post’s network, we can deliver to over 200,000 rural delivery addresses for an additional charge which starts from $6.99. Please note that delivering to rural addresses can add between 1-3 days to the standard targeted delivery times and charges do vary.
Please note that some rural networks are unable to handle large items.
Split Deliveries
Please note in some cases your order may be sent in more than 1 parcel. If you do not receive everything you were expecting in your delivery, please wait a further 2 working days before contacting us as the goods will be in transit.
Overseas shipments
Sorry, we are unable to send overseas at present but we're working on a solution. Follow us on Facebook and we'll keep you informed.
Delivery Exclusions
All of our deliveries are subject to stock availability and credit card authorization, and that you are available to accept the delivery.
Nursery Furniture & Bundle Deliveries
Certain furniture ranges will have a packaging and handling fee, the charge is due to the excessive weight or size of the product and may require to be delivered by two people. Selected items such as large, bulky or items may take a little longer to deliver and in some cases the courier company may refuse to deliver them to a rural address.
Damaged goods?
It is your responsibility to open the package and inspect it before signing the courier slip. If goods have arrived in good condition, you should sign the receipt but if the items are damaged, do not sign or accept the order.
It is very unusual for items to get damaged in transit, but it may happen. All goods leave our warehouse in good condition, so if there is any damage, this occurred during transit. For this reason, you need to check the parcel before signing the courier slip and do not accept parcels that are damaged. It is very useful if you send us photos of the damaged items. We will endeavour to replace damaged goods, providing you notify us immediately and supply us with a photograph.
If you receive and sign your order and later discovered items are damaged, you and Unicare NZ Ltd are unable to claim the damaged items.
How Long will my Order Take to Arrive?
The team at Babies.co.nz aim to dispatch all orders within 1-2 business days from the date an order is received. An automated email will be sent with the parcels tracking number once an order has been shipped.
National rural deliveries within the North Island typically arrive within 24 hours and 48 hours when delivering to the South Island. Please allow an extra 2-3 business days if the parcel is being delivered to a rural address.
If you require urgent or special shipping please fill in your requirements in the comments area when placing your order online. We will do our best to fulfil such requests! If there is a problem with your request we will let you know ASAP.
Delivery Timeframes
We are partnered with third-party courier companies in New Zealand to deliver all goods via Track and Trace. Items will normally be delivered during working hours only.
The delivery timeframes are usually 1-2 working days to Auckland, 2-3 working days to North Island, 3-5 working days to South Island. however, it can take up to 8 working days for rural or out of the way areas.
Can I Collect my Order?
Yes, goods can be picked up from our Store during our business hours. When placing your order please select 'Collect in Store' option under Shipping Method. We will notify you when your order is ready for collection.
Do you Ship Internationally?
Unfortunately we are not able to send overseas at present but we're working on a solution. Follow us on Facebook and we'll keep you informed.
What Packaging will my Item Arrive In?
We love the environment! We try to recycle as much as possible so please don’t be offended if your order arrives in a recycled packaging. Rest assured we do not compromise on packaging your goods safely and securely, so they turn up to your doorstep in the best condition possible!
If for any reason you are unhappy with the condition your item has arrived in please contact us immediately so we can remedy the situation. Please ensure you keep all of the contents including the packaging the goods arrived in. We have a limited time frame from which we can lodge claims with our external courier companies so we ask you please contact us in a timely manner.
Can my order to be shipped to a business address?
Yes. Your address field MUST contain the name of the business so the courier can easily identify it.
I've changed my mind about a product. Can I exchange it?
Yes. We will accept a return if it has a valid receipt and is brand new and unused in its original packaging with all operating instructions and manuals. You can send it back to us for a store credit within 7 days of purchase. You are responsible for the freight cost.
General Shipping Information
*In-stock items, Is usually processed and dispatched from our warehouse within 2~4 working days.
*Pre-orders, If the items you have selected is currently not in stock we will include an expected shipping date on the product page.
*Multiple shipments, In order for our customers to get the goods at the earliest time possible, the items you order may be filled from several locations and so items may arrive separately. You will not incur additional shipping charges under these circumstances. Your original shipping charge will simply be split across the multiple packages when your order is charged.
Non-Refundable Shipping
Original shipping fees are non-refundable. Shipping fees cover the services provided by the carrier and will not be refunded if an item is returned for any reason.
